Tauranga is All about the Lifestyle!

The Tauranga office is made up of Local and National teams which is led by Agency Manager, Blanche McMath with Account Service Team of Karen Dimond (Account Manager), Ewa Wystepek (Maternity Leave), Dawn Palmer (Team Leader), Marilyn Collins-Smith (AE) and Catherine Manning (AE).  We also have some National staff based here, including National Researcher – Alison Doyle and our National Accounts Team of Daphne Thomsen (Accounts Manager), Leanne Ranger, Jenette Redfearn and Margaret Stone.

The sun is often up on another beautiful day in the Bay of Plenty (just check out our pictures for proof). This is of no surprise to those that live in this area after all we enjoy up to 2400 sunshine hours per year in a sub-tropical climate. Tauranga is the main centre of the Bay of Plenty but its best known for the suburb of Mount Maunganui which dominates the skyline across the Tauranga Harbour Bridge along with its beautiful beaches stretching down the coastline to Papamoa, a fast growing community to the South. Tauranga with a population of 118,000, is the 6ixth largest city in New Zealand with one of the fastest growing populations.  It is also New Zealand’s fastest growing city for employment and GDP growth.  Tauranga is home to New Zealand’s biggest export port and the harbour is a popular cruise ship stopover with over 80 visiting yearly.

The Tauranga office location lends itself to the ultimate outdoor lifestyle. Many of the staff that work here have moved from either other areas of New Zealand or from other parts of the world like England and Zimbabwe to live this coastal lifestyle and enjoy the work/life balance that Tauranga offers.  Opportunities abound as more and more businesses look to set up in Tauranga.  Some of our larger employers like the Bay of Plenty District Health Board, with 2700 staff, use the tagline ‘Rewarding Career, Fantastic Location! You Belong Here’ to attract overseas candidates.

And with the increase in economic and employment opportunities, it’s not only retirees making Tauranga home, but increasingly, families with young children making up a large portion of the local population.

So what’s coming up for the Tauranga team? Well, our business continues to change.  More and more of our clients are taking the leap in to the world of digital advertising.  Current projects include careers sites, micro sites, a mobile site, digital and social media strategies and campaigns.

Our Tauranga Office Beach Volleyball team has hung up their uniforms for the summer as we head into cooler weather, the brains are in over drive with a corporate quiz night coming up and the rest....well we might just take a dip in the Mount Hot pools.
